Vietnam — Singapore two-way trade value in the first quarter of this year reached SGD2,710,155,000 (accounting for 1.42% of Singapore’s trade turnover in the reviewed period), up 34.2% over the same period of 2005. Vietnam’s exports to Singapore totaled SGD749,503,000 (accounting for 0.85% of Singapore’s import value), up 35.1%. Vietnam’s imports from the country amounted SGD1,960,652,000 (accounting for 1.90% of the country’s export value in the reviewed period) up 33.8%. On the other hand, Vietnam’s trade deficit with Singapore in quarter I this year was SGD1,211,148,000.
